Cengiz Can Atasoy (aka GHENGIS CAN) has a vision that tends to result in great par>es. Whether he is organizing the party, playing in the booth, or just there to enjoy on the dance floor, his posi>vity and experience emanates to his environment. He is best known for leading the SUMA collec>ve from Istanbul, and being the founder of the legendary club SUMA BEACH, an Electronic Music Utopia on the Black Sea coast that has garnered interna>onal renown and hosted most of the biggest names in Underground Electronic Music. As a DJ, he is unfeOered by stylis>c defini>ons, s>mula>ng dancers through a wide pallet of music that’s always weaved into a smooth and sexy shell. His sets always combine interes>ng harmonic and melodic components with minimal groovy beats, resul>ng in music that appeals to the mind, while keeping the dance floor moving. On special occasions, he is also known to combine this experience with outstanding live vocals, as he is a trained vocalist with a very unique voice.

A musician at heart, he has studied music (piano, oboe, vocals, and composi>on) since he was 6. Although he entered the professional world in Wall Street, aUer gradua>ng Columbia University in New York, it was his deep seeded passion for music that ul>mately compelled him to abandon his 7 year career at Goldman Sachs, and return to Istanbul in 2012 to reconnect with his roots and dedicate the rest of his life to music. While Istanbul is his home (with a Turkish Father and an Armenian mother), Ghengis Can was actually born in New York and Educated there and in England for 22 years of his life. This varied background not only gave him exposure to many different sounds and styles throughout his life, but also a belief that people of all different backgrounds can be happier working together, than apart. He appreciates the dance floor as a crucial place to bring the people together, and music as the most powerful cultural beacon to unite people at their best, to help the spread of dreams and construc>ve ideas. Just as the magic in his sets is contained in the very musical way he mixes his selec>ons, crea>ng a unique experience even from familiar tracks, he believes the magic of a special party comes from the mix of the people moving together to one frequency, to demonstrate in the best way how we are all connected.
